How to choose a body mist for your mood and the season
Fruity, floral, vanilla or musk? A simple way to find a scent that fits how you want to feel, from hot summer days to cosy winter evenings.

Choosing a new scent online can feel like a guess. So here’s how to choose a body mist in four simple steps. Start with a scent family, then think about the season, the moment and the way you try it.
Step 1: Pick the scent family of your body mist
Most scents belong to a few big families. At Faya we use four:
- Fruity: juicy and playful, with berries, cherry, lychee and pomegranate. Bright and cheerful for the daytime.
- Soft floral: rose, jasmine and delicate petals. Soft and graceful, easy to wear every day.
- Sweet vanilla: warm and cosy, with creamy vanilla, caramel and dessert-like notes. Lovely in the evening.
- Clean musk: soft, fresh and clean, like just-showered comfort. A calm choice for work and every day.
A little trick: think about the smells you already love. If you like fresh fruit and summer drinks, start with fruity. When desserts and coffee shops make you smile, try vanilla. And if clean sheets and fresh laundry make you happy, musk is for you.
Step 2: Choose a body mist for the season
Hot days
When it’s hot, fresh and juicy scents feel best. Look for fruity and citrus notes and soft florals. Also, keep a 100 ml bottle in your bag so you can refresh whenever you like.
Cooler evenings
When the weather cools down, warmer scents feel cosy. Vanilla, sweet gourmand notes and amber are lovely on cold nights, and they pair nicely with a body lotion.
All year round
Clean musks and soft florals work in every season. That’s why they’re a safe choice for the office, university and every day.
Step 3: Think about the moment
- Work and university: soft, clean scents, especially musk or a soft floral.
- Weekends and outings: fruity, playful scents.
- Evenings and special occasions: vanilla and warm, sweet scents.
- After the gym or the shower: something fresh and clean.
Step 4: Try your new body mist the right way
A scent changes a little after a few minutes on your skin, as the first fresh notes settle into the heart of the scent. So:
- Try it on your skin, rather than only on paper.
- Wait a few minutes before you decide.
- Start with 100 ml when you try a new family, then go for 250 ml once you find a favourite.
